SAMAC Grows Again, 2016

Three new staff were added in 2016:

Metallurgical – David Coates PhD PE, brings to SAMAC over 35 years of failure analysis experience.  David comes from California as a metallurgical expert with extensive trial experience in Los Angeles and across the U.S.  David also regularly teaches a course called Metallurgy for Non-Metallurgists.  He now lives in Calgary and is our metallurgical lead.

Mechanical – Jonathan McCarthy PEng, has over nine years of experience as a mechanical and failure analysis engineer.  Jonathan has extensive experience in mobile and industrial/oil & gas equipment including maintenance and reliability.

Geotechnical Engineering Consultant – Kevin Biggar PhD PEng joined SAMAC as a failure analysis consultant in September, Kevin brings to SAMAC over 36 years of experience.  Kevin’s civil and geotechnical experience include infrastructure management, permafrost and cold regions engineering, geotechnical design and analysis, geoenvironmental engineering including contaminated sites, mine wastes, and applications of horizontal directional drilling, and risk assessment and management.
