Background – I was born in Tehran, Iran but grew up in Edmonton from the age of four. I also lived in Grande Prairie during high school and first year college. During my University days, I was a member and president of Aero SAE Design group; a group that designed and built a heavy lift remote control airplane as part of a Society of Automotive Engineers program. Last year over 130 university and college teams competed from across North America. I currently spend almost all my spare time as a volunteer with the Junior Youth Empowerment program; a Baha’I inspired worldwide program that seeks to develop the spiritual, moral, and intellectual excellence of junior youth while at the same empowering them to better the communities they live in through service projects. With any extra time, I’m an avid fan of squash, weight lifting, rock climbing and snowboarding.
