Background – I was born and raised in British Columbia as a fourth generation Kamloopsian. I lived in Kamloops until completing a 1st year engineering transfer program at the local college. During my grade school years I was fortunate to grow up in a small town and enjoyed the outdoors, camping, riding bicycles and dirt bikes. I basically grew up on two wheels and enjoyed racing bmx, road and cross country mountain bikes. For several years in winter, I slalom ski raced for the Tod Mountain (now Sun Peaks) ski team. During the last three years of high school I was a member of the wrestling team and participated in the Okanagan zone championships and BC Provincial wrestling finals. After university I lived in the lower mainland of BC raising a family and to keep fit I competed in several sprint triathlons and 10k runs. We moved to Calgary in 2006 and have made it our home.
